According to the statement made by the Council; Dr. Ahmet Savaşan’s, together with the members of the Board of Directors of the Council, President of the Private Hospitals Association Dr. Hayat İzel, President of the Association of Self-Employed Physicians Dr. Remzi Gardiyanoğlu, visited the patients in public and private hospitals as well as the tourists in our country to receive health services and congratulated them on the New Year and gave them various gifts.
THE RIGHT TO HEALTH IS A FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN RIGHT...
In his speech during the visit, Savaşan pointed out that the right to health, which means having the highest possible standard of physical and mental health, is a fundamental human right protected by international law. “The right to health is the right to access and use the necessary facilities and conditions to achieve the goal of healthy individuals and society. The right to health, as with other human rights, imposes a responsibility on states to respect, protect and fulfill. In addition to the state, the right to health imposes responsibilities on health workers and other segments of society, and even on the international community. In many countries where people have demanded this right, we have seen improvements in the health system and the delivery of health services. We should also remember that protecting and improving our health is our most important duty not only to ourselves but also to our loved ones, our country, our state and humanity.”.

Pointing out that the fact that health services offered at high standards in private hospitals and clinics in Northern Cyprus are provided under favorable conditions without waiting time, and that many health services are covered by private health insurances are effective in the preference of health tourists from all over the world to Northern Cyprus Ahmet Savaşan, Emphasizing that the Turkish Cypriot people should also benefit from the opportunities that health tourists benefit from with their social insurance and should have the right to choose hospitals and physicians, he said, “We must raise our demand to achieve this right together.”.
